When can I visit the play MARE in 2018?

From may 9th till july 15th.

What are the start times of the play MARE?

Wednesday & Thursday 8.30pm
Friday & Saturday 9pm
Sunday 3pm

What are the location and the restaurant opening times?

Vis à Vis opens its terrain doors Wednesdays to Saturdays at 6pm, Sundays from 2pm. The restaurant and buffet will also open at 6pm. As this is a walk-in buffet, you can also arrive later for dinner. Please keep in mind the kitchen closes at 8pm.

What kind of seating is provided?

The stand is covered and set out with benches without back support. None of the seating is bookable or allocated (excl. group arrangements). Blankets are available, however you are welcome to bring your own blankets or cushions.

Is it possible to park nearby?

Yes, there is free parking with sufficient parking spaces available immediately adjacent to the Vis à Vis entrance.

Can Vis à Vis be reached by public transport?

Yes, the nearest station is Almere Poort. The Vis à Vis location is approximately 20 minutes walk. Click here for contact and a route description.

Will the show also run when it rains?

The show is an open air event. You will be seated in a covered stand and will remain dry. Temperatures can drop considerably in the evening, so be prepared and ensure you wear warm clothing and/or bring along a fleece blanket with you. In the event of high winds (strength 6 or 7) or a threatening serious thunderstorm, we will be obliged to cancel a show, please check our website and facebook page for updates.

Is MARE accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, MARE can be enjoyed by wheelchair users. Please contact the ticket office beforehand as places are limited.

For whom is MARE suitable for?

MARE is a spectacular theatre show for everyone ages 10 years and up. As the show includes only a limited amount of spoken language it is also suitable for people with little or no Dutch, the deaf or those with a hearing impairment.

Is it possible to buy tickets at the door?

If the show for that evening has not been sold out, tickets will be available for the regular price (€32.50) at the ticket office on the terrain. Therefore there is no guarantee tickets will be available at the gate. To ensure you have tickets at the best possible price, order them online.

Where can MARE be seen?

The MARE spectacle will be played directly adjacent to Almere beach. MARE will not tour. Click here for contact and a route description.

How long does the MARE spectacle last?

The show lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, there is no break. Drinks and snacks bought on the terrain can be taken to the seats.

Ticket sales

Which are the official Vis à Vis sales points where I can purchase tickets?

Please note: Only buy tickets via our website or from authorised sellers (incl. www.vvvalmere.nl). If you have purchased a ticket via a different channel, contact our ticket office on 036-820 0333.

How can I use a special promotional code?

Select a date within the promotion period conditions. Select the number of 'regular tickets' you wish to buy. Follow the complete process until you get to the last step. You can now enter your promotional code in the 'payment' step. Click on 'apply promotional code' and the discount will be automatically deducted.

Please note: Promotional codes only apply to regular tickets (at €32.50) and not to tickets which are already discounted (Try-outs, Early Bird tickets, children's discounted tickets or CJP) or Midsummer Night Special tickets.

What do I do if my promotional code does not work?

The code you are trying to use may be subject to certain conditions. If your reservation does not meet these conditions, the discount will not be applied. Please check the following: 1. Have you selected regular tickets (at €32.50)? 2. Does the promotional code you are trying to use have an expiry date? 3. Have you entered the promotional code correctly? Ensure you have not included a full stop or space when copying and pasting from an email or newsletter. If after checking these points your code still does not work when making a reservation online, contact us at kaartverkoop@visavis.nl or call: 036 820 0333.

How can I make a ticket reservation?

Tickets can be ordered using the calendar. For questions, do not hesitate to call the ticket office at 036 820 0333.

Can tickets for dinner also be ordered separately?

Dinner tickets can be ordered separately here. Please note: both the show tickets and the dinner tickets are dated.

Is there allocated seating?

Seats are not allocated (excl. alloctaiton for group arrangements) or bookable for the MARE spectacle, therefore tickets do not come with a seat number.

Can I visit MARE as a group?

If you plan to visit the show with a group larger than twenty persons, please contact our ticket office at kaartverkoop@visavis.nl or call 036-8200333.

What is an e-ticket?

This is an electronic alternative to a paper entrance ticket and will be sent by email. The system uses a unique QR code. Print your tickets, or show the tickets on a smartphone or tablet at the entrance.


I don't use online banking serivices for payments, can I pay otherwise?

Yes, that is possible. Send an e-mail to kaartverkoop@visavis.nl and mention the date and the amount of tickets you want to reserve.

Which gift vouchers does Vis à Vis accept?

We accept the following gift vouchers: Theater en Concert bon, PODIUM Cadeaukaart, Cultuurkaart, Nationale Kunst & Cultuur Cadeaukaart and VVV Cadeaubon/VVV Irischeque. If you want to buy tickets for the show using a giftcard send an email to kaartverkoop@visavis.nl.

Can I use a debit card on your terrain?

Yes, you can use a debit card or credit card at the ticket office and at the bar.
