In the performance Groenland (Greenland) it is all about the Greenhouse Effect. A Dutch family decides to profit from this unnatural climate change by buying a parcel, at that time still covered in snow, in Greenland. It seems like a profitable future at first.

But the fact that an Eskimo lives on their parcel already causes some primitive aggression at the superior party. This results in big, and sometimes even cruel, actions. But then ‘The Big Thaw’ starts and the landscape turns into a green, almost subtropic, scenery. The climate change in Greenland seems to be a goldmine for the Dutch family. However, nothing is less true. The climate change in the nature has catastrophic consequences.

Vis à Vis performed Groenland in 2007 at different locations in the Netherlands.
